The rapid transmission of Covid-19 posed threats and challenges for people all around the world. Based on self-ownership theory, the current study tested the interactive effect of positive religious coping and stoicism in decreasing psychological distress and physical fatigue and increasing intercultural communication among Muslim health workers. This study advances the body of literature regarding coping mechanisms in the form of stoic believes and religion to decrease the stressors during disastrous situations like the COVID-19. Using a longitudinal field survey, data were collected from 243 Muslim health workers performing their duties at various public and private hospitals and medical centers in Bali, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS software. The results revealed that interactive effects of positive religious coping with stoicism helped decrease psychological stress and physical fatigue and increase intercultural communication among Muslim health workers during Covid-19. The study contributed to the body of knowledge regarding the role of religious practices and stoicism in building coping mechanisms among Muslim health workers to sustain themselves in a challenging environment.

This study aims to determine the role of the general election commission in increasing public participation in the 2020 elections for Medan City. The method used in this research is qualitative. The informants in this study were members of the Medan City Election Commission and the public who were registered as the final voter list in the 2020 Medan City Election. The results of the study can be seen that the role that the Medan City KPU has to foster community participation in politics, especially in the Medan City elections from the KPU regarding the implementation schedule, registration, and voter data collection. Then socialization with face-to-face communication through mass media, social media, creative media, KPU announcement boards, and so on.

The spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia needs the policy to overcome it, especially for the implemented communication. The government communicates that dealing with the spread of COVID-19 is a problem in society. The study is to find out how the public's response is related to the communication of government policies in preventing COVID-19. The approach of this study is quantitative, with data collection carried out through questionnaires for 400 respondents. The data obtained are analyzed using SPSS 25.0. The study finds that the government conducted communication crises dealing with the overcoming of COVID-19 to protect their policies from the reality that society's policies were not obeyed. This attitude happens due to the inconsistency of government officers and their conduct towards society. Related to the vaccination of COVID-19, the majority of society in Medan says they agree with the program to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The implementation of the 2020 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) in the Covid-19 pandemic requires cooperation and synergy of every existing element to uphold the constitution and suppress the outbreak of Covid-19. This study was conducted to determine the public's perception of whether the simultaneous regional elections in 2020 became a new cluster in the spread of covid-19. The method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach, using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The data obtained were analyzed through percentage analysis and multiple regression tests. This study found that 400 respondents (36.36%) did not trust the information conveyed by mass media and social media regarding the development of Covid-19. Meanwhile, 553 respondents (50.30%) stated that they would attend the polling stations only if there were strict safety procedures and implementation of health protocols.

Abstrak: Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDES) menjadi salah satu aktifitas pembangunan dan sosial yang pada saat ini sangat menjadi tolok ukur dalam menjadikan desa yang tangguh dan mandiri. Hal inilah menjadi upaya yang dilakukan oleh seluruh desa di Indonesia terutama di Kabupaten Simalungun Propinsi Sumatera Utara. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini pertama melakukan penguatan BUMDES melalui pemahaman terkait kebijakan pemerintah berupa regulasi; kedua, memetakan kawasan strategi dengan potensi wilayah yang akan dikembangkan dan membangun BUMDES dengan pendampingan desa mitra. Mitra yang terlibat dalam pengabdian ini yaitu nagori Totap Majawa, nagori Marubun Jaya dan Nagori Parbalogan. Metode pengabdian dengan sosialisasi serta Focus Group Diascussion (FGD). Hasil pengabdian yang dicapai mitra pengabdian memahami regulasi serta kebijakan yang telah ditentukan kemetrian melalui sosialisasi, kemudian mitra memiliki peta BUMDES tentang potensi lokal desa melalui FGD dan ditindaklanjuti melalui pendampingan mitra. Abstract: Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDES) are one of the development and social activities which are currently very benchmarks in making villages strong and independent. This is an effort made by all villages in Indonesia, especially in Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province. The purpose of this service activity is to first strengthen BUMDES through understanding related to government policies in the form of a second regulation, mapping strategic areas with potential areas to be developed and building BUMDES with partner village assistance. Partners involved in this service are Totap Majawa nagori, Marubun Jaya nagori and Parbalogan nagori. Service method with socialization and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results of the service achieved by the service partners understand the regulations and policies that have been determined by the ministry through socialization, then the partners have a BUMDES map about the local potential of the village through FGDs and follow up through partner assistance.
